Özgür Külcü - Deputy Director, Hacettepe University Department of Information Management - Director, InterPARES Project Team Turkey
Dr. Özgür Külcü is a professor at Hacettepe University, Department of Information Management. He has MS and PhD degree on Records Management in Hacettepe University Department of Information Management, Turkey. He completed three post doctorial programs at UBC SLAIS Canada, UNC SILS and UC Berkeley iSchools. Dr. Külcü has been participated to the several international projects as InterPARES 3 Project, InterPARES Trust Projects (on long term preservation of electronic records as the Director of Team Turkey), EU AccessIT Proect (on digitization and digital content management in the context of Europeana and LoCloud Project (on lightweight solutions for harvesting, aggregating and cloud solution for the digital cultural heritage resources like Mint, MORE and OMEKA). He has currently some graduate and undergraduate courses on institutional information and records management at Hacettepe University iSchool. His research interests include organizational information management, electronic archiving and records management, managing cultural heritage, metadata mapping. Dr. Külcü’s main area of his research is organizational information system and electronic records management. He has more than 30 articles in some international and national periodicals like International Journal of Information Management, ASLIB Proceedings, the Electronic Library, Canadian Journal of Library and Information Management and he has a book on Electronic Records Management.
